Take Action: Contact Your Legislators

On behalf of our business events community and the 6.6 million people who rely on our industry for their livelihood, we are asking for your help.

As part of the next phase of coronavirus response legislation currently under negotiation by Congress, the Go LIVE Together campaign - an initiative that EMB continues to support as it advocates for the recovery of our industry - has proposed a temporary tax credit to defray the costs of participating in conventions and trade shows. This tax credit will play a critical part in jump starting our industry when events are given the green light to resume.

Will you please contact your state’s legislators, and urge them to support this essential legislation? We understand that the immediate need is for more relief funding, and we’re actively working to ensure that businesses in our industry are covered. However, in order for business events to be included in any recovery funding, we must get Congress’ attention on our industry now.
