Dear ESCA Members,
It is with a heavy heart that we announce the cancellation of this year’s ESCA Summer Educational Conference in Asheville, NC. This would have been our 31st Annual Conference, and we were looking forward to all that the event had in store from outstanding networking to industry-relevant education and great entertainment. Mostly, we will miss seeing all of your smiling faces and learning of the latest news from your world.
This was not an easy decision, nor was it taken lightly by the ESCA Board of Directors, but we all feel that it is in the best interest of our membership with the current impact on our business in mind. We feel your pain and wish there was more that we could do to assist you.
Everyone recognizes that these are challenging and unprecedented times. The ESCA staff and Board of Directors would like to thank our partners, membership, and the industry as a whole for their ongoing cooperation and adaptability. Although we will not have the pleasure of seeing all of you this summer, it is comforting to see us coming together as one industry with IAEE, SISO, IAVM, MPI and EDPA and working to secure what relief we can for our membership while providing support in any way we can.
We would be remiss if we all didn’t take the time to extend our deepest gratitude to the not only the Omni Grove Park Inn but the heroic first responders, doctors, nurses, researchers, health experts, law enforcement, public servants and all those that keep the wheels turning throughout this crisis. We are grateful for their efforts and recognize their sacrifices.
We look forward to providing you information about the next ESCA Summer Educational Conference as soon as arrangements are made. In the interim, thank you for your understanding. We are with each of you during this difficult time.
Be safe!
Neil McMullin
ESCA 2020 President
