The weather may be cooling down, but our industry is “hot” with the return of in-person events.

Last month, I had the pleasure of attending CEIR Predict in-person at the MGM National Harbor with more than 100 exhibition industry executives. We heard from leaders in our own industry, as well as those from the NBA, NBC Universal, and Deloitte Services.

Digital futurist, Brian Fanzo talked about ways we can create our own “super-fans,” and reminded us how important quality content is for any event. There were so many valuable insights and that’s why Predict is one of my favorite industry events.

CEIR’s very own Nancy Drapeau, IPC and Dr. Allen Shaw presented findings from CEIR’s latest research endeavor on Omni Channel Marketing, which will be released in the coming weeks. My team at CNTV can’t wait to dig deeper into how our industry is taking advantage of all the marketing channels available, especially video marketing.

The CEIR team will be at Expo! Expo! this year in Philadelphia, PA USA on 7-9 December. Also, the CEIR Silent Auction and Raffle is now open. Support CEIR research by purchasing raffle tickets for a chance to win an exclusive VIP 2021 Expo! Expo! package and start bidding on some great items. I look forward to seeing you all at Expo! Expo!, if not sooner at another industry event.

Thank you,

EVENT PERFORMANCE ANALYZER

Recently, the CEIR team held a webinar on the new enhancements of the Event Performance Analyzer. The base line for entering data has changed from 2014 to 2019, which means less data is needed to produce the key stats you need to compare your show with your market segment overall and the entire exhibitions industry.

Submit your show’s data into the Event Performance Analyzer and you will receive your sector’s Index report at no cost. Your data will be kept anonymous and the tool is free to use. Your data is instrumental in providing valuable benchmarks and insights for the industry.

To learn more about improvements and how to use the Event Performance Analyzer, watch the free webinar recording.
